Bob Faulkner has signed 3 more players this week, two of whom have featured in pre-season, Sam Shilton (son of Peter), Joe O'Toole & Jake Edwards

Most of last years squad have now signed, however, no longer with us are Danny Davidson & Dave Morrison mentioned in an earlier report, with Simon Hollis having rejoined Redditch United and Lee Ayres who went for a trial at Mansfield Town and has not rejoined Solihull but played for Redditch during this week.

Tomorrow night's friendly away to Alvechurch has been called off
Former Solihull Borough striker Ian Crawley has lost his two year battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Ian made 23 appearances for the club during season 1993-94. His funeral will take place at 1.00pm on Friday at All Souls Church, Hearsall Common, Coventry. The family have asked for donations to be made to Myton House Hospice c/o A.J. Lloyd Funeral Directors, 38 Wallace Road, Keresley, Coventry, CV6 2LX

The admission charges for the pre-season friendlies at Damson Park will be £5.00 & £2.50.
Roger Simmons has very kindly designed two posters covering our two friendlies and our first two home league games. The object is for any of you out there who would be prepared to download them and approach local shopkeepers etc. to see if they would display them in their windows on a regular basis. Roger will be designing new ones all through the season and hopefully we can cover a wide area and encourage new people along to watch Solihul Moors. A new heading has been added to the home page to enable you to do this.

Another pre-season friendly has been arranged on Tuesday July 15th away to Alvechurch, kick off 7.30pm.
First Round of the Setanta Shield will be on Tuesday September 9th away to Redditch

Bob Faulkner has made another addition to his squad by signing ex Hereford & Nuneaton player, Simon Travis.

The two new players that Bob Faulkner has signed are former Tamworth player, Michael Tuohy & ex Altrincham and Burton star, Jake Sedgemore.

All the squad from last season apart from the two below and one other, who is still negotiating terms, have signed for 2008/9. Bob Faulkner is also close to signing two players in order to strengthen next season's team.
Birmingham City have decided not to enter their reserve team in a league next season, but will arrange friendly games to be played at Damson Park. They will also enter the Birmingham Senior Cup & the F.A. Youth Cup which will also be played at Damson Park.
Following publication today of the Football League fixtures it is anticipated that the Conference fixtures will be available in 2 weeks.

Danny Davidson has joined Alfreton which is much nearer to where he lives in Derby.
Dave Morrison who had a serious knee injury from the early part of last season, having gained a sport science qualification, has joined Swindon Town in the Football League, to use these skills, on a full time basis.

As a result of the recent demise of both Boston & Nuneaton due to financial difficulties, Vauxhall Motors have been reinstated and Redditch have been moved back across from the South to the North with Dorchester also reinstated in the South.
On June 1st Trevor Stevens stood down as Chairman and was replaced by Nigel Collins who will serve for one year. Originally Ian Childs was to take over but due to numerous business and personal commitments he did not feel that he would be able to give the necessary time to fulfil the role properly. Graham Davison was elected as Vice-Chairman.
Another Sporting Evening has been arranged for Thursday October 30th at the same price as last time ,£35 or table of 10 £350. The Guest Speaker will be former Wolves Star, Steve Kindon.

The compilation of the Blue Square North for 2008/2009 will have the following changes
Redditch & Worcester will go South
Only 3 teams will be relegated from the Premier Divison, Droylesden, Farsley & Stafford as Altrincham have had a reprieve due to the demise of Halifax
This also means that Hucknall are reprieved with only Vauxhall & Leigh being relegated
Promoted teams will be Kings Lynn, Fleetwood & Gateshead.
The League season will commence on Saturday August 9th

In line with the majority of Clubs at our level, The Board of Directors at a meeting last night agreed the following admission prices for next season
Adults £10-00, Concessions and under 16's £5-00
Adult season tickets purchased before June 30th £150-00, Concessions £75-00, a saving of £60-00
Adult season tickets purchased after 30th June £180-00, Concessions £90-00
Junior season tickets (age 5 to under 16) £30-00, equivalent to less than £1-50 per match.
